According to the nail association, an employee told them Thomas refused to pay for any of the other services she received, telling CBS2 that altercation could have easily been avoided.

They then turn to another shopper who is helping her granddaughter escape the clutches of the staff members and start beating her in the back. After Thomas gets out, the video shows employees attacking other Black women in the shop, one of whom is being restrained and held in place by a man.

Christina Thomas said she received a botched eyebrow wax at a nail salon in NY, so she refused to pay for it on Friday afternoon. "She went to the owner, she addressed the owner, she said, "Michael, look at my eyebrows.' And when he looked at her eyebrows, he said, 'I will fix them for you.' She's like, 'You can't fix them for me.' She was like, 'I'm not payin" for this".

Police were eventually called to the scene, at which point they reportedly arrested one patron and one of the salon workers.

Huiyue Zheng, 32, was charged with assault and weapon possession, according to police. Both were released pending a court appearance.

Thomas was also charged with a misdemeanor assault.
