The mayor, a prominent leader of the opposition Labour Party, has repeatedly said that Trump is not welcome in his city.

A number of protests have been planned for the president's stay in the country, with the largest march due to be held in London next Friday.

On Friday, Trump and May will visit an undisclosed location to witness a display by British soldiers. The itinerary still oozes with ceremony - all cleverly taking place at a discreet distance from the mob.

American and British officials insisted his programme had not been deliberately arranged to avoid protest areas.

They have given him a light schedule, with plenty of "executive time", and have looked for perks to present.

"Trump has gone to France, Japan, all across the Middle East".

Trump will arrive in Britain on July 12 for a "working visit", a more sober affair than the original plan for a state visit with its customary pomp and pageantry after it drew threats of mass protests.

The monumental 18th-century country house, built for the first Duke of Marlborough as a reward for his military victories, was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, a personal hero of the president.

Besides meeting with the Queen, other items on Trump's agenda for the visit include a black-tie dinner with business leaders and a visit with Prime Minister Theresa May to a military demonstration.

During dinner, the Countess of Wessex's Orchestra will perform a series of classic British and American music hits. Organizers still need approval from the Metropolitan Police and the National Air Traffic Service for the six-meter-high (19 feet) orange balloon to fly.

Heat warning still in effect but the end is in sight
Twelve of the dead were reported in the eastern province´s capital Montreal, said regional public health director Mylene Drouin. Even those not specifically at risk are encouraged to stay inside or in the shade, and to limit outdoor activity in the heat.

Chris Paul agrees to four-year, $160M contract with Rockets
Looking forward, Paul will continue to provide tenacious on-ball defense and playmaking starting at point guard for the Rockets. The Houston Rockets are reportedly turning their eye toward re-signing center Clint Capela during a busy start to free agency.

Diego Maradona calls England win over Colombia 'monumental robbery'
After a cagey 30 minutes of extra time, England fans would have been fearing the worst as the match headed for penalties. Kieran Trippier described his part in England's penalty shootout win over Colombia as "the best feeling of my career".

The evening will end with the President, whose mother was Scottish, being "piped out" by the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The president will spend Thursday night at US Ambassador Robert "Woody" Johnson's London residence but will otherwise steer clear of the city.

However, the United States ambassador to the UK, Woody Johnson, has refuted such ideas.

Trump, for his part, will largely avoid London during his visit, according to Business Insider.

That will be about the extent of Trump's exposure to London.

"There is absolutely no doubt, in my judgment, that we should indeed roll out the carpet for the President".

"We're looking forward to making sure the president has a chance to see and experience the United Kingdom beyond London and the South-East", said the Number 10 spokeswoman. "The president is just merely trying to get as impactful of a trip as he can get in a 24-hour period".

Johnson said Trump was impartial toward the type of Brexit that Britain ends up enacting - whether the clean-break departure from the European Union known as a "hard Brexit", or the "soft" version that would preserve some ties between Britain and the EU. He will also meet the Queen in Windsor.

Later on Friday, Trump and his entourage depart for Scotland and golf. The mission of the trip is to "strengthen the special relationship" between the two nations "through shared security and prosperity", Johnson said.
