Egyptian coach dies after Saudi scores in World Cup match

In an email sent to CNN, the Egyptian Football Federation said it was surprised that Salah was ready to "quit the national team" and that the 26-year-old hadn't informed them of that intention.

A Russian state-funded news agency RT video shows Salah smiling as Kadyrov gives his speech and pins a badge bearing the Chechen flag to the Egyptian international's shirt.

Kadyrov went on to proclaim that Salah had been granted honorary Chechnyan citizenship.

"Muhammad Salah is an honorable citizen of the Chechen republic! That's right!" Kadyrov wrote in a social media post.

Egypt's final World Cup game is against Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Kadyrov, leader of Chechnya since 2004, is a controversial figure on the global stage because of his hard-line rule over his people and a series of contentious comments, particularly against the gay community.

Trump signs order to stop family separation, detain families together
Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that child migrants who came to the border with parents and were held in custody must be released. From March to May this year, more than 50,000 people a month were apprehended for illegally crossing the border from Mexico.

Trump backs down on separating families
Citing a source familiar with the drafting of the order, Reid reported the order does not override the 1993 Flores v. It allows the Department of Homeland Security to detain families together "under present resource constraints".

The man was a former Zamalek player.

"Maybe he was not able to do what he normally does, what we're used to, but he scored", Egypt coach Hector Cuper said of Salah. He is eating and laughing with his team-mates.

The Chechen controversy is the latest that Salah has experienced while on global duty, with the forward winning a battle against the Egyptian FA in April over the use of his image rights.

The Liverpool attacker missed the opening game against Uruguay with a shoulder injury and despite scoring against the Saudi's and Russia, Egypt's talisman was unable to help his team progress further in the competition.

The 2-1 defeat means Egypt's first World Cup appearance since 1990 ended with three defeats and the African nation is yet to win its first game at soccer's major tournament, having drawn two and lost five of the seven games it played over three World Cups.

Whether Salah ever plays for Egypt again will now be under consideration as a result of the events in Chechnya during the tournament.
