The 2008 IPL champions were defeated by Chennai Super Kings last night by 64 runs thanks to some impressive batting display from Australian all-rounder Shane Watson.

IPL 2018's 17th match saw Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 64 runs at Pune. The catalyst of this win was Shane Watson, who scored a brilliant hundred and then came back after playing nearly 20 overs to pick a wicket in his 3 overs while giving just 13 runs. He was dropped in the first over as Rahul Tripathi dropped a sitter at first slip, which proved to be costly.

Ben Stokes remained the only top scorer for Rajasthan with his 45 runs.

Watson smashed nine boundaries and six sixes in his 57-ball knock.
