Mason Ramsey, an 11-year-old singer and yodeller from Golconda, Illinois, has breathed renewed life into country icon Hank Williams" "Lovesick Blues', which now sits at No 3 on Spotify's Viral 50 chart for the USA and at No 4 internationally. As Ramsey tells DeGeneres, he actually sings in Walmart "all the time", seeing as it is the only store they have in his rural hometown of Harrisburg, Ill. Ramsey performed a few songs and showed off his dance skills as well.

The entire event was live-streamed by Walmart.

"Well, because that's the only store we've got", Ramsey tells her good-naturedly.

Ramsey answered questions from his new fans while on stage. He sat down with the comedian and charmed the audience before performing on national TV.

"I saw you singing at Walmart, do you always sing at Walmart?" Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues" clocked in as the no. 4 song on Spotify this week, propelled by Ramsey's viral rendition.

Mason Ramsey, known as the viral "Walmart yodeling kid", flew to Los Angeles to make his first national television appearance at The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

DeGeneres presented Ramsey with an invitation to perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night (April 14), along with a check for $15,000 from Walmart to go toward his college fund.
