A no-confidence motion notice has to be supported by at least 50 MPs to be taken up in the House.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP), once the BJP's biggest ally in south, and YSR Congress, which snapped ties with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) last week will pitch for a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha on Monday.

While TDP members are demanding raise in Muslim quota, the AIADMK members are insisting for a quick action from the Centre to set up a Cauvery Water Management Board.

As the uproar continued, Mahajan said she was duty-bound to take up the notices for no-confidence motion but could not as the House was not in order.

The Congress with 48 members and Trinamool with 34 members are enough for both TDP and YSR Congress to have their motions admitted.

Reacting to his dismissal, Palanisamy said, "I am not taking back what I had said. However, the promises made to Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu were not fulfilled", it said.

"It's the responsibility of all the parties to support us". We will be ready for that and our 16-17 MPs will fully support that.

Shiv Sena has stated that they'd abstain if the motion comes to vote, as they're not going to oppose either.

MPs from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu once again stalled the Rajya Sabha on Monday, prompting an exasperated chairman M Venkaiah Naidu to adjourn the House for the day within seven minutes into the proceedings. "Even in the last budget justice was not done", he added.

The Parliament secretariat received three notices on no-confidence motion against the Centre for its refusal to grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
