The 2019 McLaren Senna GTR is the Quickest McLaren Outside Formula 1

This is the third McLaren to wear the GTR badge, following the mighty F1 GTR from 1995 and the P1 GTR from 2015.

Given McLaren is building 500 regular Sennas, this means the new vehicle is likely to appeal to both collectors and well-healed hardcore circuit fiends. We imagine the order book is over-subscribed already. Design engineering director Danny Parry-Williams said "The McLaren Senna GTR Concept unveiled in Geneva is not the finished article but it does give a clear indication of our thinking for the vehicle, which promises to be the most extreme and exciting McLaren to drive for many years, if not ever".

New on the Senna GTR are the wider front and rear fenders which allow the vehicle to have a wider track. The Senna GTR comes powered by the same 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the road auto, but packs in 25PS at 825PS and 800Nm.

For McLaren faithful, it's likely this new Senna GTR already needs no real introduction.

With all of this combined, McLaren says the GTR will rack up the fastest McLaren lap times outside of Formula 1.

Ross Taylor's heroic 181 helps New Zealand defeat England
Before Taylor's brilliance, New Zealand had mostly been poor and a ninth loss in their past 11 games was on the cards. His first four balls were smashed for 15 runs to leave the Black Caps needing a run a ball from the final six overs.

Walmart to sell meal kits at stores nationwide
These meal kit programs often require subscriptions, since frequent purchases are needed to manage their business model. In order to be back in the competition with Amazon , and Jeff Bezos, Walmart is now upping the ante.

Tentative deal reached to end West Virginia teacher strike, governor says
Jim Justice to raise their pay 2 percent in the first year as they also complained about rising health insurance costs. Other state workers who also would get 5 percent raises under the deal will have to wait for a budget bill to pass.

Combined with a power output that will be "at least" 825hp and a "race-style transmission" (a sequential gearbox, perhaps?), its maker is confident enough to predict that - even without having properly run the auto in its new aero package - it will post the quickest McLaren lap times outside Formula 1. "The very limited number of customers who secure this auto will be buying the closest experience you can get to a race vehicle without actually lining up on a circuit grid". Torque is also improved over the road car's 590 lb-ft, but McLaren didn't mention specific figures.

Interestingly, about the only thing this race-focused McLaren doesn't offer is the means to drive it on public roads - this is a track-only speed machine.

Rumours swirling around the brand ahead of the motor show suggested McLaren would fulfil a long-held ambition to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, something that may be announced in the future.

While 500 people will be able to add a Senna to their garages, just 75 track-only GTRs will be built, and will cost around $A1.8 million. McLaren, consider us interested!
