Speaking in the State Assembly on Monday, Siddaramaiah lambasted PM Modi as he countered allegations of corruption levelled against his government by the PM. The party officials said that thousands of cadre from across the poll-bound state and the state voters will participate in the event.

Accusing the Congress government in the state of being "corrupt", the Prime Minister said the party was opposing the path of development that the Bharatiya Janata Party was aiming at for the nation.

Referring to Modi's assertion that the Countdown has started for Congress government in the state, Siddaramaiah said BJP can not win even if Modi and Shah make 100 trips to Karnataka.

The BJP chief #amit shah who is always in election mode has set his eyes on capturing power in the state.

Siddaramaiah also brought up the 2002 Godhra riots, in reference to Modi's remarks that Karnataka's law and order situation had deteriorated to "ease in murdering".

The PM said the Centre would back State BJP President B.S Yeddyurappa's promise that Rs. 1 lakh crore would be earmarked for irrigation projects if the party comes to power, thus hinting that B.S. Yeddyurappa would be the next Chief Minister of the State.

The Chief Minister welcomed the Prime minister to Bengaluru, and asked him help the State resolve the Mahadayi water dispute.
