Octave appeared before Broward Judge Joel Lazarus on Friday, who ordered the accused to remain jailed until a hearing before a trial judge.

While initially the cause of the arrest was unknown, TMZ reports that authorities arrested Octave at his home after law enforcement officials observed, during an Instagram Live broadcast, Octave's infant child in an environment where drugs and a handgun were present.

Rapper Dieuson Octave, whose stage name is Kodak Black, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 18, on seven felony counts, including possession of a weapon and child neglect.

Black is now being held at the Broward Sheriff's Office.

"Your phone's part of the search warrant. You are not going to get your phone back".

The Pembroke Pines man is being held without bond, according to the Sun Sentinel.

He was under house arrest for the May 2016 charges, but violated it in February, resulting in anger management, which he recently completed, Variety reported. He's widely acknowledged to be one of the area's most talented artists at only 20 years old, but he's also been in and out of jail for charges similar to the ones he was just arrested for.

After all of this, Octave was sentenced to house arrest and five years probation. He was released from jail in June after serving 97 days of a 364-day sentence.
