This is something big all gamers must be waiting for. Nvidia is looking to solve that issue with what it calls big format gaming displays, or BFGDs, which it formally unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show this week.

BFGD (Big Formate Gaming Display) is becoming standard for gaming displays now.

The Asus panel also comes with Nvidia G-Sync technology, so any stutters that occur at the high-end 4K 120 fps frame rate can be smoothed out by working closely with a compatible Nvidia graphics card on the other end.

Additionally, the 4K HDR display features a full-array direct backlight, 1,000-nit peak luminance and DCI-P3 color gamut for the ultimate in visual quality. The first OEMs to announce G-Sync BFGDs are Asus with the ROG Swift PG65 and Acer with the Predator BFGD.

NVIDIA BFGD 65 inch Monitor also has exclusive SHIELD, "An Android-powered portable game device that also streams PC games from Nvidia-powered PCs over local wifi networks". The Shield functionality which was previously only available as a separate box optimizes the display for broader application.

With support for the Google Assistant, the entire experience can be controlled simply by using your voice.

No pricing details of the upcoming display have been revealed by the company. Having G-Sync and NVIDIA Shield at one place is kind of most advanced thing Nvidia could offer at this point. As there's nothing really novel inside this gaming monitor I doubt we'll be waiting long before it appears for sale.

The first BFGDs are on display at CES this week, but unfortunately we don't know exactly when you'll be able to get your hands on them-or, more importantly, how much they'll cost. If you game on an Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, it's certainly a tempting offer, especially as it boasts support for HDR.
