Most of Fandango's users - some 81% of those surveyed - already use some form of digital payment, so Google Pay presents another payment option.

Today Google announced that they are consolidating their payment platforms, notably Android Pay and Google Wallet, into a single, unified structure being branded as Google Pay.

This all-new Google Pay branding was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 event being held in Las Vegas.

One of the biggest questions that many Google users have often pondered upon is - why does Google have two apps which do pretty much the same thing - Google Wallet and Android Pay.

The rebranding effort is already underway, with some existing users already witnessing the Google Pay rebranding at several locations. Also, the same changes are supposed to reflect in Google Tez UPI (Unified Payment Interface) app launched in India. Those include Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse and Instacart.
