Ross Barkley has medical ahead of move to Chelsea
A medical examination appears to be the only obstacle standing between Everton star Ross Barkley and a move to Chelsea following a £15million deal, after Tottenham pulled their interest in the England midfielder. The midfielder will have a medical at the club on Friday and will complete the move from his boyhood club Everton in the coming days.
Barkley dramatically changed his mind about joining the Premier League champions on transfer deadline day last summer after a fee in the region of £30m had been agreed with Everton, but the source said that the deal has been revived and is nearing completion. The prolific playmaker for the Toffees is yet to play his first game in the Premier League after recovering from hamstring surgery which was followed by another injury during training.
New boss Sam Allardyce has always been resigned to the playmaker's departure and Tottenham were expected to rival Chelsea for Barkley.

"I would expect there would be sometime in this window if there is going to be any interest from some of the big boys", he told Sky Sports when asked whether he was expecting bids for the player.
That delay looks likely to cost Barkley's boyhood club £20m in transfer revenue although Everton risk losing the England global for nothing in the summer and will reluctantly accept a cut-price move.
Some of the Everton fans who were disappointed in his decision not to sign a new contract a year ago will likely be happy to see him leave.
