Colin Kaepernick Wants To Join Diddy's Quest For NFL Ownership

Not only does Diddy promise to be "the best National Football League owner that you can imagine" on his Instagram, he says he'll also immediately hire Kaepernick as the team's starting quarterback.

- Rapper/producer Sean "Diddy" Combs took to social media on Sunday to express his strong interest in buying the Panthers from Jerry Richardson.

Richardson's announcement comes just two days after the Panthers said an internal investigation was being conducted by the team into the allegations.

Richardson, 81, in a statement wrote, "I believe that it is time to turn the franchise over to new ownership". The hitmaker has publicly flexed his support in seeing Puff Daddy as the NFL's first black owner. A majority of the players in the National Football League are African-American, but there are no African-American owners.

Combs returned to Twitter to announce his real intention on buying the team.

Former San Diego 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who gained worldwide notoriety when he made the controversial decision to kneel during "The Star-Spangled Banner", may be on Combs' shortlist to fill either spot.

Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry, who is from North Carolina and a huge Panthers fan, said he also wanted in on owning the Panthers. He will not entertain any inquiries before the last game has been played. "Let's make history", he tweeted Sunday night after current Panthers owner Jerry Richardson made it known he'd be putting the franchise on the market.

Richardson, a former receiver for the Baltimore Colts, received a heart transplant in 2009 that saved his life.

Richardson had previously said that the team would be sold when he died.

"I have aspirations to become - it will happen - to become the first African-American majority owner". Earlier this year, Forbes guesstimated Diddy was the richest man in hip-hop, with a net worth around $820 million.

The NFL has launched its own investigation in to the allegations after the team announced an internal investigation on Friday.
