Patriots Lead Bills 9-3 at the Half

New England (10-2) won its 14th consecutive road game - the second-longest streak in National Football League history - and reached double-digits in victories for the 15th consecutive season.

At 6-5, the Bills have been a surprise team. Forced once more to settle for a 31-yard field goal to make it 6-0 in the Patriots favor midway through the second quarter. That's no longer the case as quarterback Tom Brady has once again been a steadying force for the premier franchise in the current day National Football League and has them sitting at 9-2 heading into a divisional matchup with the Buffalo Bills in Week 13. Gilmore spent his first five seasons in Buffalo before signing with the Patriots in free agency this past off-season.

Worst challenge: Bills coach Sean McDermott asked for a review on a Brady incompletion in which the quarterback tripped over teammate Rex Burkhead's foot.

Rookie Nathan Peterman replaced Taylor and led the Bills to the 1-yard-line on his first series before turning the ball over on downs. Taylor double-pumped in the pocket before throwing a pass directly to linebacker Eric Lee at the goal line.

Burkhead's first touchdown capped a methodical 10-play, 70-yard drive. Tyrod Taylor struggled to keep Buffalo's offense on schedule, and at the beginning of the fourth quarter, he was carted off to the locker room with a towel over his head, a knee injury ending his game.

Twitter reacts to Jimbo Fisher leaving FSU for Texas A&M
Fisher replaces Kevin Sumlin, who was sacked following the Aggies' 45-21 loss to LSU in the regular season finale. FSU was committed to pay Fisher more than $50 million when that contract was put in place last December.

LeSean McCoy had 93 of the Bills' 183 rushing yards.

Worst air mail: Buffalo backup quarterback Joe Webb had a wide-open Travaris Cadet over the middle and overthrew the pass on what could have been a go-ahead touchdown in the second quarter.

Brady and McDaniels have been together for 14 years with the Patriots. The New England Patriots offense rolled in their first possession of the half. Grissom has appeared in four games this season, with his lone tackle coming in New England's Week 3 win over Houston.

Improving to 10-2, the Patriots will clinch the AFC East with either a Bills loss to the visiting Colts next Sunday or with a win over the host Dolphins on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
