The firm hit out at Apple, saying it "has done this not so well" and claiming their video shows "they haven't carried out scientific and serious estimation before deciding to replace Touch ID with Face ID". Apple has claimed that it was working on a fix to ensure that identical twins can't fool the system.

Researchers at the security firm Bkav have claimed that they can fool Face ID with a custom-made mask.

"The Nose on the mask was made by hand by an artist".

In a YouTube video (below) and accompanying blog post, Bkav appears to show how an iPhone X can be unlocked using a mask made to look like the handset's owner.

Even Apple had previously admitted the new face ID feature is morefor convenience than absolute security.

The probability of a random person hacking Face ID, says the page, is one-in-a-million.

"Apple will disable the Face ID after five attempts, and force the user to enter a passcode, which should be secure", Norris said.

George Takei 'bewildered' by former model's sexual assault claim
The fact that "I did not get it", he said, "makes me reassess every relationship I have ever thought was playful and mutual". Brunton said he told Takei he had to go home, though he was "still a little bit out of it".

Advances to Championship Round of Chase
Stage 3: Elliott had the lead with about 10 laps to go, but Kenseth passed him and was able to hold off the youngster for the win. This left only one spot remaining for five drivers, but it was the No. 2 vehicle driver who punched his ticket with some help.

In a potted question and answer, Bkav says it is irrelevant if Apple's Face ID "learns" new images of the face with use.

Still, the average iPhone X users shouldn't worry about this trick being used against them. It has been developing with the specific aim of fooling Face ID's depth-mapping technology.

Yet, "Apple's facial recognition was never meant to be a security measure for strong authentication", said Josh Mayfield, director of product marketing at FireMon. A person has to take an accurate scan of your face, make a mask, and then be able to steal your phone.

Bkav wrote in its blog that the efforts involved to fool the Face ID would make it incredibly hard to compromise casual users.

Security experts based in Singapore used a 3D scanner to re-create the owners face at a cost of £115.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the upcoming iPad will feature a 10.5-inch display but will not make use of OLED displays and would rather stick with the LCD displays. The technology didn't even fall for well-lit photographs or other faces that had similar features.
