Louis CK's New Movie Probably Won't See the Light of Day

Louis co-wrote, directed and stars in the comedy about a man who tries to stop his 17-year-old daughter (Chloë Grace Moretz) from being seduced by a lecherous older filmmaker (John Malkovich).

"The Orchard will not be moving forward with the release of I Love You, Daddy", the company said in a brief statement Friday morning.

In reaction to the story, the premiere of Louis C.K.'s film I Love You, Daddy and an appearance on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" were abruptly canceled.

Louis CK's new film I Love You, Daddy has been dropped by its distributor following allegations of sexual misconduct levelled at the comedian.

Five women detailed sexual misconduct allegations against the Emmy-winning comedian in a New York Times report published on Thursday, including three women who said he had masturbated in front of them. The women claimed the comedian either masturbated in front of them or asked permission to do so.

Representatives for C.K. did not immediately return a request for comment.

Media companies large and small are reassessing their ties to the entertainer following allegations raised in the New York Times.

"He will no longer serve as executive producer or receive compensation on any of the four shows we were producing with him - "Better Things, ' "Baskets, ' 'One Mississippi" and 'The Cops", FX Networks and FX productions said on Friday in an emailed statement. "That said, the matter is now under review". "Louis's unprofessional and inappropriate behaviour with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as had been planned".
