Tatum may be filling in for the late night host this week, but that didn't stop Kimmel from participating in his favourite Halloween candy prank.

The same can't be said for stand-in-host Channing Tatum's daughter, Everly, who had a near breakdown over the fact that her famous father had morphed into some kind of Halloween villain. Since Kimmel took a break from his show this week, he chose to test the prank out on his kids.

So what happened when Jimmy played the same joke on his 3-year-old daughter Jane?

Tatum found his daughters tears so heartbreaking that he eventually came clean, but Everly didn't want to let him off easy.

"What?! Uh-oh. I still have one, don't worry", Jane said as she still found one piece of candy left. "Last night while you were sleeping, mommy and I ate all your Halloween candy".

"Dad, that's not amusing", she said.

Jimmy Kimmel's son, Billy, has heart problems, and it had led to a few complications.

"I don't believe you", she said as she threw the empty bag at her father.

Everly's response to the prank was slightly more emotional than Kimmel's daughter's.

"Not well, really, really not well", Tatum responded, laughing. "I'm sorry baby. I hope you forgive me someday for that!"

"The eyeball is bubbles!" exclaims a horrified and disappointed Jane.

"I wanted my Skittles!"

After learning that her dad was blowing bubbles every time he hiccupped after eating the eyeballs - which were "bubbles for blowing" - she cheered back up.

Kimmel recorded himself pulling the prank on his daughter, who didn't really know how to feel about the whole thing.
