Microsoft to Launch Surface Pro with LTE in December

Microsoft claims that the Surface's Cat 9 modem from Qualcomm will get you the fastest laptop LTE around, and with 20 LTE bands, it should work in any country you travel to.

Other features of the Surface Pro LTE will be the same at the non-LTE variant, including touchscreen and support for the Surface Pen. It should make the Surface Pro more competitive with the likes of the Apple iPad Pro, which has offered an LTE option since its introduction in 2015.

Starting in December, businesses will be able to buy a Microsoft Surface Pro laptop/tablet hybrid with a built-in LTE cellular modem, starting at $1,149.

"We are bringing even greater mobility to our Surface Pro line by making Surface Pro with LTE Advanced available to business customers beginning December 2017", it added.
