CNN first reported that a grand jury approved the the special counsel's first charges on Friday night, and now two sources confirm to NBC News that after months of tedious updates and boring testimonies, shit's finally about to go down.

Russia has repeatedly denied USA intelligence agencies' conclusions that Moscow meddled in the election and Trump has denied any collusion between his campaign and Russian officials.

A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment.

Mr Trump, who was elected president last November, has denied allegations that his campaign colluded with Russian Federation and labelled the investigations as a "witch hunt".

Mueller was appointed in May to investigate whether the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russian government during the election.
