Netflix releases new Bright Trailer

Ward, a human (Will Smith), and Jakoby, an orc (Joel Edgerton), embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it.

Joel Edgerton and Will Smith partner up in Netflix's action film, Bright, directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, End of Watch, and Training Day).

Set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time. But as Smith jokingly explained at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year, the film is more of a socio-economic statement with fantasy elements tacked on.

A new trailer for the film has been released, which suggest it'll be a odd but potentially pretty good movie. Bright is genre-bending action movie that follows two cops from very different backgrounds. That mystery takes the form of a magic wand characterized as "a nuclear weapon that grants wishes". Also, Smith curses in this - a lot - so don't expect his usual PG-rated presence to make the flick kid-friendly.

Ayer may be showing us part of the ending from Max Landis' script in this new footage, as the clips of Ward and Jakoby in the hospital clearly come after their encounter with the young elf girl, Tikka (Lucy Fry).
