LeBron James calls Trump a 'bum,' says he's ruined White House visits

Curry recently made it clear that he would not be visiting the White House, even though his team, the Golden State Warriors, won the 2017 National Basketball Association championship.

Curry said on Friday that he didn't want to visit the White House after defeating James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals this summer.

"U bum [Stephen Curry] already said he ain't going!"

"I don't want to go.my beliefs stay the same", Curry told reporters during a news conference.

But as of Friday Warriors general manager Bob Myers said the invitation remained open and the team had been in touch with the White House. Activist Shaun King has spearheaded the effort, and tweeted Saturday morning that already 35 National Football League players plan to kneel. The NBA and the Warriors both had recently communicated with the White House about their plans. "Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!" These are usually pretty boring events: The president says something nice about the team, something nice about the city they represent, something cheeky (if the president is a fan of a rival team), and they all take a picture.

Mueller's team has been looking into whether President Donald Trump attempted to obstruct justice by firing Comey. The broad request covers multiple White House staffers and includes actions Trump has taken as president.

So basically Trump tried to dump Curry after Curry dumped him. "I don't wanna go", Curry said, before giving his candid thoughts about the president.

Meanwhile, Trump has yet to respond to James's comments and Curry has yet to respond to the president's.

Curry is not the first professional athlete to skip a White House visit in protest since Trump became president. James said. "So therefore ain't no invite. And we all are trying to do what we can, using our platforms, using our opportunities to shed light on that".

Pitcher Hector Rondon expressed that he would prefer not to go, saying: "I prefer to stay in my room, get rest and get prepared for the game". "But I understood where he was coming from and that Bush wasn't his homie but when Clinton was in office he hung out with Clinton and golfed with him so that let them know".
